Contrary to their installation instructions to remove all previous versions, removal of PS Lite is a bad idea because of the Ghostscript issue. It appeared to read the file previously discussed above just fine. Note: I reinstalled PS Lite 6 and noticed that it reinstalled some of the Ghostscript files.

I would like to have the four voices however, not at the expense of poor PDF reading. So, at this point I don't see an advantage to PS Ultimate 8 over PS Lite 6, discounting the voice issue. But this cannot be the ultimate problem because the very same PDF file works just fine with PS Ultimate 8 Demo and PS Lite 6. The left side of the original PDF shows some light leakage from the scanning however, PS Ultimate 8 Demo, PS Ultimate 8 and PS Lite 6 all convert to black and white. The image on the left is NOT cut off in the original PDF. Robin: I tried all three resolutions with the same result. This is a repeatable result using all three versions using the same PDF file. Laurence: Yes, this very same PDF file worked just fine with PS Ultimate 8 Demo and PS Lite 6 that came with my Sibelius 6.2. I downloaded the PhotoScore Ultimate 8 demo version and it worked fine, so I decided to purchase the full Ultimate 8 version. It worked fine, but was cumbersome because it did not recognize 4 voices. I have been using PhotoScore Lite 6 that came with my copy of Sibelius. I only use PhotoScore to input music into Sibelius. Perhaps this is the wrong forum for this question however, so far I have not received any useful help from the Neuratron people. 6.x: Bug in PhotoScore Ultimate 8 reading.
